Further Aventures in Wonderland
by Carol Clewlow (Actors: 4)

Commissioned by the British Association for the Advancement of Science as part of its Community X-change Programme, this funny and entertaining play takes the Dormouse and the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland to ask the simple question; is it right for us as human beings to use animals in research to find cures for our diseases? Also in the play are Alice herself, in this case faced with the task of  having to write an essay on the question of animal research and her father, a world-famous medical scientist who uses animals in his laboratory. The play was first performed in a double bill with Transgenia at the Pakistani Centre in Toxteth, Liverpool as part of a Community X-Change day in June 2008.
