FILM

We produce films to commission and create online resources to enhance the learning experience. We also run workshops using film to prompt reflection and discussion. Here are just a few examples.

DEEP MIND

Our powerful 30 minute drama about the future of medical technology is available as a learning resource with online , downloadable,  education packs. Use the Contact page to receive more details.

GOING UNDER

When you know that your husband is not well but you are not being listened to what do you do? Going Under is a moving and hard hitting film about clinical error and the devastating impact it can have.

The film was commissioned by Newcastle Medical School and shot by award winning film maker Magali Pettier

OUT OF SIGHT

Out of Sight was made as a response to the Winterbourne View scandal. The Assessment and Treatment Centre was a wholly inappropriate setting for people with learning disabilities who present with challenging behaviour. Some of these centres are still in existence

WHOSE LEG IS IT ANYWAY?

Research at Newcastle University demonstrated that patients were concerned about their safety and care but wanted to be more involved, whilst staff had worries about patients who asked questions or were felt to challenge their care.

We produced a series of short, slightly surreal, humorous videos, drawing upon those interviews, to stimulate staff or patients to think through their communication and behaviours in a way that would enhance collaborative patient-centred care.

We offer an interactive, facilitated workshop drawing upon the videos. These workshops have proven enjoyable, informative and challenging.
